2022 – ongoing
This series pays homage to Tirvengadum’s great-grandmother while uncovering her family’s history under the Indian indenture system in Mauritius. During this research, she made a surprising discovery: her DNA is linked to an aristocratic French surname, Marrier d’Unienville. This raised questions about what stories have been hidden, and why. Using family archival photos, AI-generation and digital painting, she attempts to visualise what was never recorded.
